20 Sep Fall is here…and with it new opportunities!
Fall has landed and “The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let the dead things go.” (- source unknown)
I love that quote as it is a reminder that with the beauty of the brilliant colors of fall comes the beginning of a new season. In a similar way God’s Word reminds us in Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
New seasons are such a gift to us, and this week has been no exception in the life of newhope! We saw Rooted groups launch at all campuses with hundreds of people stepping boldly into a new 10-week discipleship faith journey! We saw 237 women gather for the first Equipped women’s ministry night! We saw individuals and families serving their local communities on Second Saturday Serve! And this coming weekend will be beginning a new series called Love My City that will challenge us to see and care for our cities! Don’t miss it as we take time to get a fresh perspective and begin this new season of loving the people around us; living in and driving the same city streets, but with fresh eyes of care and compassion that more authentically reflect the heart of God to those we encounter!
See you this Sunday!
