NH Students (6th – 12th grade):

Students and Parents,  you can follow along with all the great things happening in NH Students by following us on Instagram (@nhopestudents). On Sunday nights at 5:00 pm, check out our YouTube channel for the weekly message! Following the message, your student will be a part of a Virtual Life Group that meets at 6:00 pm via Zoom or Google Hangout. To be connected to a group, send a DM on Instagram or email students@newhopechurch.org. Stay connected by watching live and commenting throughout the video, sharing and inviting your friends to be a part of the newhope student movement. Then, continue to follow us as we will have mid-week gatherings online.

Young Adults (18-35 years old):

Young Adults will be LIVE on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm on Instagram (@newhopeyoungadults)

Feel free to DM the team on Instagram with prayer requests or any questions! Let’s stay encouraged by reflecting on all that God has given us. He knows exactly what we need, and I trust He will remain faithful in our lives!

LifeGroups:

With all that is going on, community is more important than ever. Fear festers in isolation – so it is our desire to create safe environments for gatherings where newhopers can continue to fellowship with one another.

As a LifeGroup we encourage you to continue meeting – however, your meetings may look different in this season. We are encouraging groups to shift to meeting via digital platforms. Meeting online can be a great way to maintain connection while being physically apart. A few great, free platforms to explore would be Zoom or Google Hangouts or Skype.

Aside from digital meetings, we encourage you to be all the more intentional about checking in with one another throughout the week and regularly praying for one another. Find ways to serve, love and pray for your LifeGroup family all the more during this isolating time.

Rooted:

We have postponed our Rooted Spring semester due to COVID-19. We are monitoring the situation and will offer a Fall semester and may be able to offer a Summer semester if we are able to begin gathering again! Registration is open for the Fall semester, and if we are able to offer a Summer semester, we will reach out to everyone registered for the Fall and give the opportunity to join in the Summer if  preferred. If you wish to register for Rooted, click HERE!

Battle Ready Men’s Ministry:

Battle Ready Men’s Ministry will not be meeting during this time. Even though we will not be able to gather together, we encourage you to take that time to pray for our country and the church. It is uncharted territory for us all and it is important that we lean into God’s Word as the situation continues to unfold. I hope that you find comfort in knowing that we serve a God who is bigger than any virus and whom we can cast all our worries. (1 Peter 5:7)

If you would like to be added to our email list to receive updates about Battle Ready, click HERE.

Equipped Women’s Ministry:

Equipped Women’s Ministry will not be meeting during this time. Until we know when we will be meeting in person again, we encourage you to join our Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/equippedwomen/. This is a great way for us to engage together virtually through prayer, discussion, and fellowship until we are able to be together again!

Giving:

Even though we will not be meeting together at our campus locations for weekend Worship Celebrations, ministry is still happening. Will you help us by giving online? As we’ve said before, this is the easiest, most secure and convenient way to honor the Biblical tithe and helps us continue the ministries both locally in our communities and overseas during this season. Thank you for being a generous church!

Serve Local/Serve Global Update

As our communities slow down and people may begin to experience extra pressures and isolation, it’s a great time for each of us as the body of Christ to serve others! Here’s some ideas for putting hope into action while staying safe with social distancing:

  • Write thank you notes for nurses, doctors and hospital staff and drop off at the front desk of your local hospital or urgent care!
  • Pray for your country and all the countries affected. Pray for those at risk of illness, for leaders, for healthcare workers…and gather in community online for Worship Celebrations this weekend (see all the ways to do that for all ages groups on this page).
  • Purchase a take-out meal or a gift card from a locally-owned restaurant to help support local business owners and employees during this time!
  • Drop-off donations to local organizations providing resources to families in need, or food/cleaning supplies to someone like an elderly neighbor or single parents!
  • Help with blood supply shortage by donating blood.
  • Most nursing homes are closed to visitors, so make encouraging cards for residents and drop them off at front desk for staff to distribute!

As a church we will be partnering with local organizations working to meet needs within our community, as well as coming alongside other churches to care for those impacted through the economic changes. We know that some of you may begin experiencing additional challenges as well, so please let us know how we can serve you by calling 919.206.4673 or emailing missions@newhopechurch.org! It’s a great time for hope in action!

For more information about how you can get involved check out this incredible blog post here!

A Final Word of Encouragement:

Let’s be people of prayer and of studying God’s Word. Not as a last resort, but because we have faith in a God who is not surprised by the current circumstances. Pray that He will bring restoration and healing in our land, and that people would see Him during this time. (Matthew 6:34 and Philippians 4:6)

We also know that some of you may be feeling the impact from all of this, from being out of work, to trying to secure childcare, to not being able to follow through on certain commitments. The church is here for you. If you need prayer, please email prayers@newhopechurch.org or text “NHPRAYER” to 59769. Also, if you are having trouble securing groceries, prescriptions, or connecting with services online, we’re here to help. Please call us at (919) 206-HOPE (4673) or email office@newhopechurch.org.
