09 May Week of Hope
One hour…that’s 60 minutes…or 3,600 seconds. It might feel like an hour is too short to have any real impact, but sometimes just an hour can make a difference in someone’s life! That’s why we are challenging everyone to give at least one hour to your community in serving this Week of Hope! Join the over 700 people already registered for 2019 Week of Hope!
Scripture is packed full of the call to serve others, from the herald of the prophets such as Isaiah 58:10 “If you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will go forth in the darkness, and your night will be like noonday…” to the servant leadership we see in Jesus, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28) And the challenges found in the Epistles such as, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)
There is no doubt that serving others is not only the heart of God, but it’s a vital and necessary part of being a follower of Christ! Without serving, there is so much lacking in our Christian walk and journey as followers of Jesus!
So how are you going to spend your one hour serving during Week of Hope? It starts this weekend and goes through May 19th.
